Independent Bookstore Day

Independent Bookstore Day is celebrated all over the country on the last Saturday of April, and Paper Leaves can’t wait to celebrate with you on April 27th! We will have several fun events throughout the day for all ages to enjoy.

On the 27th, from 10:30 to 11, we have a special treat for our young readers. We will be hosting another children’s story time with one of our beloved local children’s authors, Kathryn Sofia. She will be reading her heartwarming book, “God Made Giraffes Just For Me”, to the kids. Her book will be available in-store and she will be there for a signing session. Don't miss this exciting opportunity to meet a local author and get your book signed!

Along with an exciting children’s story time, Paper Leaves will host a free book swap from 11 to 3. The book swap is open to the public, and you are encouraged to bring your favorite books or recently published books that you wish to share with someone else. Each person can trade a maximum of five books. Each book must be wrapped with the genre, age rating, one line from the book, or a brief description. It will be a come-and-go event, but feel free to stick around and check out our store!

It will also be the perfect day for snow cones, so come on down to Paper Leaves to enjoy free snow cones from 10 to 3. Imagine the fun of enjoying a cool, refreshing snow cone while browsing through our collection of books!
